I had the same issue with Fate Worse than Death - nothing updated when I emptied the urns.
Also, I haven't been able to close out the Migo quest - I kill a creature on the coast surrounded by corpses named Migo, but when I return to the Magister, she demands proof. Which I never found ... maybe I did and sold it?
It was Migo's ring.
Yep if you give Migo a yarrow flower he will give you his ring, which you can give Yarrow (his daughter) to prove that you have found him. You get 2400xp I think and after you meet Yarrow with her father they give you a key for a door to the castle.
