Lar (Divine Divinity project leader/lead programmer) has just posted a new thread under the Technical section which will hopefully address your problem.
Its OK to be upset and frustrated; totally understandable. Players invest many hours in a game such as this one, and the experience you've had totally destroys the enjoyment and repect you may have had for the game and the developers.
The issues that have plagued this product (such as corrupted save games), the time taken and admitted diffuculty in resolving bugs and releasing updates, doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their software development and testing processes. Plus many minor issues still remain. I'm sure their next release will be a big improvement though after gaining much XP with the development of DD, and I'm eargerly awaiting the anouncement of their new titles.
