If you install: PLEASE, check you have Admin rights (Win XP, 2000) and no background programs are running then (Antivir, Firewall, Internet etc.).
I'm overcautious: If you have saves from an older version, back them up in a separate folder, please.

I DL the patch in April the 12.3 meg or whatever. Now I have just seen your note that this link takes you to the 10.2meg v1.34 patch. Guess it was not made clear or I just can't read take your pick, that even though it says its the 1.33 patch its really the 1.34. I did start with version 1.33 and have just downloaded 1.34 will this mess up my saves or do I need to start from scratch?
I know you folks said that this link for 1.33 would take you to 1.34 but for some reason I thought you meant something else entirely "DOH"!
To be on the safe side I will do as Kiya suggested, and uninstall DD backup my saves and then run defrag for good measure. Then do clean install and add the 1.34 patch.
