On that note I love how Larian has actually put some effort towards rewarding even us deplorable murdering hobos.
Icaras staff was a really good item in DOS1, and the only way (that I found) to get loremaster from a weapon.
I used it all the way through the game even when I found slightly better drops just because I liked the staff so much.
