The Dwarves has a narrator (fitting since it's a book made into game form), and the voice actress for her has a good delivery.
You know what? A really good narrator voice over would make this a lot better. Depending on how the voice over was done it could give life to the narrations and actually Mae them amusing to listen to.
Edit: Of course they might have to change the lines slightly to make it more natural sounding for a narrator figure in the clouds. Hell, they could throw in jokes about the fourth wall and the player controlling the character.
Ex.
You walk over a mine and die.
Narrator: "well that wasn't particularly smart, now was it? Maybe you should raise your intelligence stat a bit more and try again."
Or if you do it again
Narrator: "You're a cruel god, you know that? Do these mortals' lives only exist to entertain you?"
