I'm playing with the patch -- I just installed it not too long ago, mostly through all the quests. I only have two council members to go. I got the ale, it went through all the dialogue options but I didn't get the point in the skill (although I got to choose which one,etc)
This game is really beginning to frustrate me. I tried the fix where you load one data file then the other to get into the thieves guild and past that dang door that wouldn't open... but now it has buggered other things. I restored my original data file just fine, all is good, EXCEPT 1) doors are locked that weren't before and I can't open them... like the graveyard where Iona's Dungeon is and more importantly, in the council of seven, the door to get to the scrying room is closed tight! I can't get back in there to talk to the wizard or to check on the other two members I am missing again.
This game is wonderful in terms of story and even game play, but the bugs are really killing the enjoyment <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> I really hate having to use cheats in games at all, and I've felt forced to to be able to play the game.

Okay, now I'm REALLY confused. I reloaded a game before I did the fix for the thieves guild... and the door in the council of 7 is STILL LOCKED!! I can't get back into the scrying room. The only members I have left are the lizard and the dwarf. Does anyone know what is wrong here???
