Did this once on a pure mage. It was pretty easy. I ended up killing the Houndmaster and his buddies at level 2 with just my 3 starting skills. Fun times.
First try at the final fight was going fine with Alexander fighting the worm and me killing everyone else. Once Alex finished off the worm he Phoenix dove next to me and one shot me with a 400+ damage melee hit.
Second try I had it go the same but backed off just as Alex killed the worm and ended the combat. I went back at him 1 on 1 and perma CC'd him. He only got 1 turn at the start but didn't jump next to me.
I did hit level 8 and took the One Man Army Talent.
It gave +65% Vitality and +2 Turn AP.
I look forward to when we can level up after taking it to see any changes to Attribute and Skill points per level.
