Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Vampire quest problem?

Hi.. just bought the game 3 days ago and have been playing it pretty much ever since <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
BUT I'we run into a problem! I get this Caroline (or something like that) asking me to find this little boy near the dark eeh cave .. i think... well I found it, and the boy is in there.... including a vampire. Now i've read up on some threads that u can use lockpick or telekinesis to open the door, but my question is: Is there any way to avoid being bitten by the vampire an still killing him?? I found out that i lose some statpoints if he bites me... and i would like to keep those... Do I just cancel the dialog or what??
Im gratefull for any help u guys can give me!

Oh and how does this charm-thing work?? just like socketing things i Diablo 2??

Nope, if you want to save the boy you will loose 3 stats points - that's the price of being a hero. Alternative is to refuse and the boy will die <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

How about the charm-thing??? do I just place the "gems" over the weapons with "charm-ability" and thats it?? I need the "charm-skill" to right?

Did you look at the link? You need "enchant weapon" from the warrior path, then you may include charms and the items have to be equipped.
