I have found a cave near the Imps Catle, with lots of tresure, but although there are no enemies in it something is killing me. Has anyone been in here and know what's going on? Please help!

Traps are killing you, right? Sort of blue smoke (lightning trap)? Did you kill a sort of Hell Guardian there?

Yes, it is some kind of lightening trap. I haven't seen anything in there that I can kill, and as far as I can tell there is no-where to go apart from through where the traps are.

Purple potion = Elixir ???

The purple potions you can buy everywhere - they boost up resistances.

You can mix them out of yellow and white potions, with alchemy skill 2 I presume, because white is a compound mixture already.

If you open this link and look on the screenshot = purple potion named resistances. They boost up for a certain time.

Thanks for the help. I still can't get through there without dying, so I guess I will leave it and come back when I am stronger. (Level 32 now).

Hmmm, please look at your resistances, specially lightning - how high are your values, please? Another thing: Which version are you playing and have you got an item with magic barrier skill, without having skillpts of your own in this skill?
Please, look and confirm.

Another possibility to boost up lightning and other resistances: Charms - resistance charms.

No Lightening resistence skills myself.

Yep = you've got the resistance bug. I hope the patch 1.34 will help you. Your resistances are negative. Have you got an item with the magic barrier skill?

Yes I have a belt which has the magic barrier skill. I will install the patch now.

Frenchie, please back up your saves in a different folder - just for sure. If you encounter problems with the 1.34 - I've got version 1.032 on my PC and can maybe send it to you, about 3.50 MB (sorry, had mixed up versions).

Make sure you do a clean install.
Delete the game
defragment
reboot
install CD-ROM (1.029) and then patch 1.34

Make sure NO programms are running in the background and you have ADMIN rights (Win 2000, XP)
Then load one save into this game and play a bit, save. Take off that damn belt. if you spend one skill point into magic barrier, these items are safe afterwards.

Great! I just walked through all the traps with no problem. Killed the Guardian and got the grail <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
