Either you go into an encounter, lose, and then gear just to win or you go into an encounter gearing just to win cause you inferred what exactly you needed. This heavily realize on the idea of pre-meditated action and foreknowledge to make the best decisions for a battle....that just...what? So any second playthrough is going to be trivial cause we can gear exactly to out needs, but the first one on a more casual player will detroy them before each fight? That has issues
