I'd really like to be able to try out different configurations of parties without having to resort to some laborious workaround. How about just let us set everyone's char attributes at the char creation screen, instead of just one person's?

It would be a lot more fun and a seemingly trivial addition to be able to play with, say, a Battlemage Red Prince paired with a Huntsman/rogue and a cleric Sebille. Limiting us to just one starting character "roll" out of four is fairly cheap considering how much fun the alternatives can be.

Also, I want my "All Bishops" party back, I been playing one since Wizardry I and I'm too old to change now.

Intended at launch as a feature. It's being worked on, actually.

This is great news, I want this feature as well.

As a workaround, you can get around it by having 3 friends join the game to make the additional characters you want.

You can also just launch 4 instances of the game and join your own room. How I do mine.

Thank god. I was only joking about that "having 3 friends" thing.

Are you sure?

Please don't misunderstand me, I really want the feature to determine the starting class of the NPC companion origins as e.g. I don't want my Red Prince companion set to warrior and feel I have wasted attribute and talent points if I decide to teach him rogue skills. I just don't want to get my hopes up for what to me is a very important feature hehe

Love the origin stories so far, but dislike the class system forced on the companions.

They seem pretty active about reading the forums and this is one of the few topics upon which everyone pretty much agrees. If they didn't make this happen I would be a little surprised.

I've started taking the suggestion in this thread of launching 4 copies of the game and customizing them all myself.

I had to launch the .exe manually or Steam complained about already having a copy open, and you also have to use different profiles for each connection, but it works, and you can then play the game in single-player after the character creation is over.

It lags a bit trying to load up the game with all 4 copies, and this is pretty hacky, so I hope the feature gets properly added.
