Well... Yes. There are many situations where the restore armor aspect of shields come in handy before you are stunned to death.
1) Your armor is low
2) Your armor was taken out but you aren't CCed
3) Your max armor has been increased
4) You've recovered from CC and you want to shore up your armor
5) Your buying time and chose to shore up your armor.
6) You took environmental damage or will do so.
7) You took damage from an ally
Shields are very useful. Don't knock them...
And I play on Classic... not explorer.
