Man, i only managed to spare some time recently to try this. I've gone up to Level 1 so far.

I really like how you've severely nuked amount of drops and revamped the game layout and severely limited skills usage.

1) Custom markers of different colours

Now DOS2 seems to have a lot to do, I suggest custom markers of different colours so we can differentiate our flags.

2) Crafting window, shared inventory
Oops I accidentally wrote that crafting no longer requires points. Removing that!

What I mean is: shared inventory in the crafting window. Crafter can take items from other characters' inventories/backpacks. However, crafted items will always land in the crafter's inventory.

3) Some of the portraits are waaayy too dark on my screen

I've already upped the gamma but it's still a pain to see them, without washing out the rest of the game. Like: the guard's portraits or even this one.

Oh and I also hope the cpu usage gets a lot lower when the game becomes more optimised.

4) Also please have friendly pet animals be smart and run away when there's danger, especially if they're unable to defend themselves.

I'm talking about when
the black cat keeps walking casually into the archer's(one of the magistrates, I think)line of fire and gets killed. You can't even resurrect the darn thing.

5)Also, have more hints for how the "traits" works, in part 'cos of the tags. How are the traits/tags supposed to affect one another and what effect do they have on your character/events/etc.? I know DOS2 is sandbox style but some instructions would be good.

6) I'd also love to view all hotkey tips.

7) Selling stolen items shouldn't be so easy. After all, if you "magically" obtain so many wondrous goods with "high resale value", wouldn't that raise suspicions?

How about having to sell stolen items through a fencer? Sure, you can also sell some to normal merchants but after a while they could suspect you're obtaining them through illicit means and affect your reputation.

8) Compressed air can?

I suggest air can/mini-barrel 'cos barrel would be too powerful.

Can create a tiny whirlwind which can be used against enemies or your party. Effect: can decrease all status effects by 1 to 2 turns or remove most/all of them entirely. Or move the character a short distance away(with a shock effect: possibly stun) and make them 5 to 10% more vulnerable to air attacks, for 1 to 2 turns.

C'mon, if people can create talking statues/mushrooms or whatever in Divinity games, they can also create compressed air cans/barrels, using magic.

9) Forgo the pretty armour

I know Larian's very generous but wearing flashy stuff like this, would get you noticed, wouldn't it? I'd rather get that stuff AFTER making it out of Fort Joy or leaving the island.

You could just give a bit of stuff that looks cool but blends in with the crowd.

I think many of the portraits are just unfinished/placeholders. Agreed the crafting inventory not being shared is quite annoying, but I assume crafting as a skill will return (quite surprised if it doesn't.) Traits just add dialog options I think.

I quite like the idea of a compressed air barrel. I don't think it needs to be a "mini-barrel" or can or whatever. It's a funny concept for a medieval fantasy setting, but I think it could be one of those tongue-in-cheek kind of things that isn't too over the top as long as its explained. Like air mages compress air into barrels for later use, or for blacksmiths to power their furnaces, or whatever. I think it could be something that actually clears the nearby area of surfaces and clouds. Kind of a cool idea to make it reduce status durations too, but that'd be a bit weird, except maybe blowing out fire. Thematically, it could have a knockdown effect if you're close enough to it, but that's quite powerful.

I would expect these barrels to be quite rare, not lying around everywhere like oil barrels, and probably made of something besides wood.

Perhaps only if they put 2 to 3 barrels or more or combined with say, knockdown arrow(at high damage/lvl 12 or higher), then you could get the knockdown effect. Since I'm not so good at RPGs, don't really play that many, people are free to give their input!

10) Another one: barrel which contains suspicious fluid or substances that can give you lesser diseased, depending on bodybuilding level. However, it's no typical fluid: it can flow around a radius of 4 to 6m from the starting point, for 1 to 2 turns before dying/disappearing off unless chilled or frozen, which slows its death.

Combining its dead remains with poison will be slightly annoying and combining it with poison will suck your health(maybe minus 5 to 8 of health per turn).

On the other hand, it could give you mild insanity: for 1 to 2 turns, your character goes blind/starts hearing voices/is not able to function well: casting spell may be less effective 'cos you're unable to pronounce the words properly.

11) Let us view all hot tips.

12) Put more categories for crafting:

- armour/robe/bag materials like cloth, leather, thread, needle, etc.

- plants/wood material like wood chips, logs, etc.

- containers like cups, bottles, etc.

That or reduce the types of containers for crafting to 2 and simplify some of those crafting processes(especially, making paper!!!One would assume in DOS, you'd get far more sheets of paper but nooooooooooo). After all, DOS2 isn't going to be very lengthy.

13) Jack-in-the-box on wheels

A portable machine capable of springing stupid surprises like... changing 1 of your characters into a rat/chicken/rock for a short while.

Not for use in battles. :P

14) Refine those cones

I found those cones to be a real pain, actually. They're still no change from Divine Light in OS where you could accidentally blast your own team. Even if the cones are supposed to be refined in the new game.

Can't you just let us select characters from afar?

Just implement a circle or shape which determines how many characters you can select and tada, we're done!

Or just change the cone to a rectangle or oval.
