I've had an issue on two occasions with neutral npc's that start attacking me after I get done fighting.
One was a paladin at ruins, after we got done fighting and I save him. Chat dialogue comes up and then he starts attacking me. He was standing in fire when the battle ended. Eventrually after reloading the battle I got him where he didn't attack me.
The second instance of this happening was with Bishop Alexander. After the battle, the neutral npc's that were to help me attacked me and I had to finish them off.
Is this a confirmed bug?
