im far from the wastlands. im just about to enter stormfist castle. ive only been playing for about a week. i keep my gold on me because i had a room at the inn in the verdists, and my week was up and the bitch that runs the place took my chest with all my stuff in it.
i dont know if anyone remembers, but the game XEEN (clouds of xeen)also had a bank and you got interest. there was a bank in each town, and if you opened an account at one you could make deposits/withdrawels from all.
