So, as far as I can tell there isn't anything on any new instruments apart from the four already shown. If I am wrong in this then please add a link.

Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea for us to gather some instruments together, preferably things that would be at least somewhat thematically to the world.

The current cast in game consists of the Bansuri, Tanbara, Oud, Cello

My first idea is some bongos, cuz why not? smirk

I'm slightly concerned about the potential for drum solos. That would be bad.

Fancy meeting you here. And it could be bad, but in that case then don't choose it right? I ain't a music expert... quite the opposite. Just trying to get the proverbial ball rolling.

what instrument does each npc character start with anyways? Also any thoughts on an organ/piano?

I'm a bass guitarist so I know nothing about music either. Except that I don't like drum solos. biggrin

I think some more diverse music would improve the customization options. I mean, the idea is to have your own theme music right? Right now there's only enough for one on each character each, and that's if nobody shares their choice in music.

I think it just adds accents to the music, as far as I can tell at least, though more choices are always nice: "more is more", and all that. I'm a bit vague about mediaeval type instruments though a friend is a keen hurdy-gurdy player, so maybe one of those would be an interesting addition.

More is more is the PERFECT way to describe this. I'll see about condensing the posts onto the first one... once someone sees this.
