He's an asshole who attacks you if you heal him with magic. So I don't care about trying to heal him.
Really? Lohse healed him with magic(in all my plays) and he never attacked her. He just got all paranoid-like towards the rest of my party and grumpy towards her.
In hindsight, I didn't blame him 'cos of all the problems about Source magic.
