I had the effect in the demo and v1.32, but after I patched to v1.33, it disappeared, and I always had a instant day/night cycle (no hardware/driver changes). It seems that some people have it, and some don't.
Just another minor wierd thing I guess, like seeing monsters on the minimap outside of the playable area within a dungeon level. (or was that just on my version? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />)
