First of all, I’d like to say that playing on the hardest difficulty, the game sometimes seems impossible to beat. I fortunately already made a previous run, so I knew what to do, and I ended the first act. Here are a few things that occurred to me :

- There is a steep change between level 3 and level 4. At level 3, most of the fights are impossible, so you can’t earn experience the correct way, and have to tweak some fights (Understand prepare traps, put characters exactly where enemies pop, otherwise you can’t win. I don’t believe it should be mandatory to know the fight to win it. ) I appreciate challenge, but getting wrecked by bow men with 80 armor and 100 magic armor when you have 20 of each, is too much. Git gud, I know. But still.

- Some enemies chain source spells. The witch in the quest given by the ice dragon with the blood rose just wipes you with chained spell, that touches all your characters for 85 damages, and stuns all your team. Overall, source spells with AI 2.0 makes some fights really hard. Especially when you don’t have any to fight back, while the enemy has 200 armor and magic resistance, and is not alone.

But I read that you just released AI 2.0 without making balance and changes on the spells, so this is normal.

- The braccus set is always trying to get me killed. Boots cripple me, torso gets me on fire, and ring curses me. I don’t remember it was like this initially, but I might be wrong. As these are legendary, it is a bit disappointing that they are useless. But I get the point, braccus is really mean, so he doesn’t even want you to get good loots.

- As I smashed all the relics, I couldn’t get a single source point in my run. So I couldn’t open the maze barrier (Some say withermoore should have helped, but it didn’t happen, even though I had released his soul), nor could I open the braccus armory.

Now to the bugs I encountered:

- When walking in cursed fire, NPC might trigger a fight. After I beated the final boss, I was forced to kill Gareth who stepped in cursed flames. Kinda sad.

- The dwarf is sometimes too small to trigger stuffs on walls. It is funny, but I got trapped using the second portal in the maze with my dwarf. He was too small to touch the gargoyle and come back, so I had to reload the game.

- Two types of freezes :

When actions happen too fast, a character might get stuck, doing nothing but skip rounds until you reload the game. Happened a dozen times.

Sometimes the entire party and game is stuck, and you can’t do anything. You can’t even trigger the menu, so you have to alt f4 and restart the game. It happened at least 5 times.

- In some fights, enemies healed me. Now I understand why they would put rage on me, but restauration on someone that is not decaying is not an offensive spell.

- I couldn’t end the murderous gheist quest, as I had no option to end the quest by giving the ring of Migo.

- I couldn’t kill the voidwoken dweller at level 6 (It really is a tough fight), so I managed to teleport myself through the bridge on his left, and get behind him, on the path that leads to the maze without beating him. Getting close to him on this path triggers the fight, but as there is a huge wall of stones against the two of you, you can’t do anything.

- Before rescuing Gareth, I stumbled across magisters in the ruins. I manipulated them, telling them I was one of their own and that an attack occurred in fort joy to make them leave, thinking they could help their friends. I didn’t find them later in fort joy.

- When I found the three necromancers after the maze, I had the relics with me, but there was no option in the dialogs to smash it in front of them to end the quest. So I had to kill them for the experience, then smash the relics so they wouldn’t pop again (as they give no experience after repop). But it didn’t trigger dialog, and the quest wasn’t over in my journal.

My opinion: I have finished the first original sin several times, and I already had a run through the game in the beginning.

I really like what the game has become:

- AI 2.0 is great.

- I actually like the armor system, as it gives importance to your equipment. With a little balance, this will give the game a clearer strategic aspect. In the first one, I never understood what were the effect of specs on the chances of resisting some effects. Now, there is no luck, you either have magic armor, or you don’t. I prefer this.

- In spite of the increase in money, I couldn’t afford a single piece of equipment during my run, as spells were expensive. I didn't steal any money, didn't craft, all I did was sell my drops, so this might be normal.

- I like the fact that we can somehow customize recruitable characters, but as there are only a few viable classes, I can’t make my opinion on whether we should have full customization of the characters or not (As with the main character).

- The game is beautiful, and I especially love the musics. They are perfect, it really fits to the atmosphere.

- The new surface changes (The fact that ice disappears …) is most welcome.

Ps : As you might guess, english is not my native language, so I apologize for my mistakes.

Nope.

All source pools were removed in the AI 2.0 update. Currently, the only way to get source points is from soul jars.

♦ You can temporarily remove the curses of braccus rex set by using buffs. Cure Cripple by First Aid , Burning by Magic Armour , Slow by Haste,... these debuffs will be blocked by your armors later. They will stay like that as long as your armors are still up , curses reapply if armors are depleted.
( you may see the texts pop up times to times saying the effects are blocked tho )

Imo the curses arent the one that make them weak. Its thier stats , they are easily replaced or overpowered by higher level equipments or even ones at same lvl.

Almost the same for other unique drops , except for some unique amulets added in this patch.

♦ As for source points , i believe they are reworking it ( not fully implemented in this patch yet ) , before you can easily cap all 3 source points on all four characters and still have alot points from other source pools/equipments which a little too overkill.

♦ You need to have Migo's ring into your character inventory to give it to Yarrow. Use that character to speak with her and you will get the option to give the ring.

♦ Some fight you were unable to beat need better positioning , break your character chains and position themself separate from each other or even take advantage of high ground if there are some around. Group up is usually bad because your party will be vulnerable to AOE.

I usually had to reposition before fights to even beat alot of them only reason you have to group up is the shitty leadership.

Thanks for the reactions guys smile

- You might be right for Migo's ring, but I remember checking if it was in my inventory. Might have misclicked though, it's possible.

- Well, the stats are not great indeed, but as I had trouble with money, I thought of using these on some of my characters. And when the boots cripples you as soon as you run out of armor, it's just not worth having.

- You are right about positionning, but even with it some fights were hard. For instance the fire slug, who is supposed to be between levels 4 and 3 facerolled me any time, no matter where I positioned. I had 120 hp on my tank, and the guy hitted 60, and had 3 or 4 friends who hitted like him. Maybe it has to do with my skills and the classes I played, all I'm saying is I had a feeling of unfairness and unbalance. Like beyond what I expect to be a challenge. The game is not impossible, but it was really hard for me. And it felt like cheating (Winning fights because you know there will be a fight, and you teleport ennemies on platforms where they can't hit you before the fight starts, skipping dialogs).

- I searched almost everywhere I believe, and I found no source point, even next to the zombie in the lair.

Thanks for the answers guys, just wanted to share a few bugs I had encountered.

Do we have any idea on the planned release date ?

Have a nice days fellas

It has to be in the specific characters inventory and furthermore they must not have it equipped. Just a little bug I think.

I just installed the game for the first time with this patch, and played two times to level 4.
It is my impression that fights are insanely difficult.
Way more difficult than the tactician mode in dos ee in the beginning.
The main reason is, the way that armor works combined with the fact, that you do not get any decent armor for more than one character.
This leads to your entire party being cc'ed by enemy AoEs.
Although I do like the idea of the armor system, it obviously is really, really bad for hybrids like battle mages and shadow blades, because you basically have to decide for each enemy whether you want to use magic or physical abilities on them and then stick with it, so you can ignore the other kind of armor.
Also, this implies, that for most parties, it is a good idea to either focus completely on physical or magical damage dealing.

Also, I am constantly under-leveled, if I do not kill everything at sight.
For instance solving the Miro quest or the card sharks quest
peacefully is just a bad decision.
If you do not kill Miro, you do not get his armor and way less experience. Same for the sharks and their equipment.

Best strat to winning i found is taking on the lower number of enemy fights(think the magisters on the beach vs the ones guarding the gates) perma-ccing them then finding myself overlevelled for the higher enemy fights and meta-gaming in each of them.

I find way too much CC. I've had countless encounters were I don't get to move my characters once... Ill get chain lighting into blinding bomb into knocked down. Just frustrating because I really do like the whole game design I just feel like im getting cheated. Missing a turn is a very powerful ability every NPC shouldn't be able to fully immobilize your team every turn. Also I have the inquisitor and I found myself just equiping a 2 handed axe because the dps was far greater then any staff even without the strength scaling. Just some of my personal experience, Thanks and keep up the good work devs

Yes, wands and staves are pretty useless.
Just like in DOS EE. And with respect to CCs, Fortity and Armor of Frost are must haves.
And shields are very good. Most buffs are only 1 ap, so use can use a lot of them in one turn. Also reinforce armor is handy. Using 2 AP on it, is much better than losing a turn to
CC.
