Upcoming patch should bring skill crafting. Which means more combinations and ... chaos . However, current skills, battle system and whole rule set is somehow disassembled already.
I have run Pillars of Ethernity last weekend. I am quite surprised, again, how consistent, readable and fun the ruleset is.
From Skills to items to progress thru levels. Just smooth. Facing over leveled opponent ? Its possible. Face weak opponent let it auto fight on real time and feel your power. Its hard to make wrong character, there are hundreds of different builds. I mean, really different builds. Nothing like DOS's 3 general builds where all have Adrenalin and Teleport.

DOS on the other side has nice graphics, models and less loading screens.

Would you mind to hire for a month the Josh Sawyer, the PoE rule set designer ? He said that he love classless system more than PoE class based, so he might be interested. Even for 30k EUR for a one month it would payback on better sales and help the game.
