Don't the shops update after every level up and after every hour of play time?
Indeed. It is way too long. All items in shops after level up can be useless junk. So you must wait 1 hour to uptade them - it is annoying.
I have 6 level ups like that. My mage weared 2 level clothing and staff till the end of game. No fun at all(
You must be very unlucky. Once i reach the swamp ( lvl5+ ) , i myself always find at least 2 or 3 piece of good gears to replace the old ones , either from looting or shopping.
Check Windiego , Exter , Grantiana , Kerban especially Gareth after a level up or after a long exploring/questing , they are good merchants.
( mostly green and blue , gareth always have atleast 3-4 purple )Latest coop run my mage get +12 INT and +5 Memory gears alone and its a sub char cause my other coop partner was also a mage so he got to get all the better stuffs we found. There is even a thread suggesting gears progression is too good atm and needed changes.
