I'd rather see less epic items in shops and more hand-placed treasures. Also I'd beperfectly fine with no shop updating at all, having all the items at once would be more logical since it's hard to magically get a new item stock every hour being a prison merchant.
Enemies just need the number of skills and consumables reduced. Also their stats should match their level meaning 2*level stat points, and their skillset should match the number of memory slots.
