Aura of Command can work on enemy summons, as well (at least Josephine's death knights).
If you sided with the bees during the imp council member quest, and killed a lot of wasps without hitting any bees, the queen would have taught you a level.
Another skill that can be effective at level 1 is the survivor's Deadly Gift and scorpion traps (if you have been collecting trap material, or happen to have some in recent loot).
