I wanted to put out my thoughts and experiences with summoning so far.

Overall I like summoning, it allows one to really combine elemental magic with a different playstyle, allowing you to either augment your wizard with assistants or combo well with yourself and allies as a summoner.

Given its early access and act 1, I'm hoping we'll get more variety / infusions to continue to vary the strategy and playstyle later on, as well.

So from my experience you can absolutely dominate if you put 3 people into summoning with other different elemental magic, if combined with some strategy. I was blowing through over leveled enemies due to this, while fun, it wasn't too difficult to do. Some of this is probably due to early game economy and cost of summoning spells right now (cheap).

Summoning benefits a lot from the following things :

- armor, it makes them quite survivable.
- elements, the immunity, creation of the elements via attacks and spells, allows you to quickly create and spread the environment. You can make the battlefield a wasteland and not care.
- AP cost, totems are 2 AP with basically no cool down, as long as you don't group them for aoe, it costs as much to destroy one as to make it, worst case is an even trade (but probably you gained by delaying damage)
- CC, slow is amazing, and the water / electric totem can perma stun once armor is gone.

I'm guessing some of this might not scale well later on, but early game it is incredibly powerful.
