Well, what about to get an alliance (with missions etc) with magisters or other factions? it is the tipically alineation with the "bad guys" of a role game, I mean, the storylane only moves in the "good/right" actions.
Anyway, at the end of Act 1 (when you could take the boat for leave the isle), I attacked by mistake to the main NPC quest and after a fight I killed him, so, the possibility of attack and kill "good" NPCs is open...
