Hello.

I had the same issue with OS1 EE and it happened rather frequently, but with OS2 I've had it happen only once. Still, OS games are the only ones that have this crash so I suspect there is something with the game engine that is not meshing well with my computer.

Basically it looks like when there is heavy graphical happening (popping up the item tooltip in inventory and in OS1 EE some fights involving lava surrounding, the game would often just freeze and then crash to desktop.

I would get some error message involving "failed to load 2D texture" or something of the sorts and my GPU would inform that it has recovered from error.

I'm fully aware that this may be just my hardware at it's deathbed, though I haven't seen this in other games.

If/when this happens next I'll try to get you a screenshot.

A couple of people have reported that error in earlier versions of D:OS 2, but it is much rarer than in D:OS EE. I don't think in most cases it has been specifically related to tooltips, though.

DXGI ERROR Crash - turned WIN 10 conflict (reverting back to Win 8 avoided the problem)

DXGI device removed error/CreateTexture2D failed (fixed by a clean reinstall of the video drivers)

Both (D:OS EE) topics have screenshots of the error message(s), and some other suggestions.

Thanks for your input.

I have done a clean install of video drivers perhaps a month a go and I'm using Windows7, so neither of those fixes seem fitting to me. All though thankfully the game looks now much more stable and beautiful than OS1 EE.

For me the crashing has been mostly when viewing items (80% of the time?)

This crash in OS2 was when I was viewing the items in a merchant's inventory in the Seeker's hideout, not Gareth but the other hotshot.
