I have two comments after completing the content with the last patch:

First it can be very annoying finding corpses after a combat and if they are on top of each other nearly impossible to loot. I kind of wish they would show up with highlight option (I used tab but I think the default is alt or control).

Second difficulty seemed very inconsistent. Perhaps it was my party or strategy. I mostly played in classic mode but two or three times had to drop down to explorer mode to do the fight. The three times I remember are when the prince is ambushed the second time (near the pigs). Even when the ambush is expected and I position myself in a more advantages location it is pretty darn difficult. If you are properly ambushed I think it is near impossible (on classic). Naturally it is pretty easy on explorer mode (this brings up a second point that the difficulty between the two is quite vast). The other two fights I remember being hard is one inside the fort - the fellow who animates corpses (that fight is quite optional and I completed it without fight but then wanted to kill him - perhaps it is suppose to be near impossible on classic). I've forgotten the third one - I was able to do both the alexander and bishop fights on classic but they took several tries. That last fight is of course going to be a bit random based on void walker behavior.

The point of the above comment is the vast majority was not that difficult (on classic) so you go along with relatively moderateness and then there are these huge spikes. Perhaps it was my party build but i'm not so sure.
-
Other than that it seemed mostly ok. A few nit picks I guess - I'm sure others will have comments. I do like the intro addition it adds quite a bit. Also i found hte book of songs but not braccus pants.
-
Oh yea. Painting for a battle (from the ship back room near left hand statesman door) shows up as a question mark in your inventory.
-
Hum. Also the very last battle i need explorer mode. Maybe i could have done it with classic but not sure. i'm talking about the one on the ship. I finished at level 8. I think 9 after the very last action but you don't get a chance to actually check since the game ends.

Just wait for the other two difficulties. The disparities between the health bars and damage will grow to stupid levels. From what I can tell in D:OS 2, you'll have to carry a wall of boxes with you just to beat higher difficulties by cheesing the Ai and abusing teleport.

But yeah, the zone AFTER Act 1 places you against enemies that are 3-5 levels higher than you. It's not even possible without abusing a glitch or running 4 teleports (None of the enemies can teleport or leap. So just toss them on the Masts and pass turn.)

I believe the boat fight was meant for you to stall, not kill everyone, so the level discrepancy didn't bother me much, but it could be just alpha stuff and they plan to set them to level 9 on release.

I actually found the game even easier this patch (didn't play last patch, but AI 2.0 patch seemed harder). I tried the summoner this patch and he seems pretty useful with the incarnate doing damage, and the totems soaking abilities from enemies. I like the playstyle.

As for your comment saying the fights aren't possible without abusing glitches, AIs, or 4 teleports, it's totally untrue. Only my healer has learnt teleport, I'm going in fights without any preparation, haven't bought a single gear piece from vendors, and I haven't had any deaths all game even post Island, and i'm not even tryharding with teamcomp/spells. (altho' I played the previous patches a few times, so I have experience with the game). It all depends on playstyle and team composition. Running 4 rangers, is obviously gonna be potentially harder than with a standard tank/dps/healer comp for example.

The only fight that scared me a bit was the secret hatch under dallis' quarters on the boat. The 2 level 11 pets almost killed my healer since they have high initiative, but they didn't have enough damage to one-shot her, so it was fine.

Overall I really like this patch and the direction the game is going. All the bugs I found have already been reported so there isn't much for me to help with.

Btw one thing I should have mentioned is that I sort of prefer d:os-1 combat to d:os-2. Specifically I prefer more action points because it results in more flexibility in what you do per turn. d:os-2 seems to be 'faster' and more 'brutal'.
