I simply hate to rely on RNG stats from RNG items.
I also believe it is more helpfull when the free stats help boost the stats you need to invest in,rather than in optional stats you are not sure you will need.
I have taken a strong min-maxer attitutde toward the game after seeing how much of a build trap the Inquisitor preset is for non dwarf and non elf companions due to the fact it features a staff as the weapon choice and highlight of the preset fantasy.
