Will there be Dragons? More specifically, will there be dragons that the GM can place, modify and/or play? Also, hello everyone

I have seen screenshots of a dragon. I am sure there will be some kind of dragon, and once the mod and model community gets a hold of it, we will have all manner of wyrmkin.

Considering we've already seen one dragon (Slane), plus the void dragon from the last game, and there was another dragon in the early showcase of the game, yes, there will be presumably several dragons No reason you won't be able to play as them.

Thanks for the replies!
Not sure if there are others around here that were around when Neverwinter Foundry was a hot item but it was a running joke on those forums for a long time because they promised us dragons and we never got dragons, regardless how much I pressed for it.
Perhaps this will be the platform where I can unleash my epic tale that may or may not involve a dragon.

Persistent worlds were a lot of fun in the early NWN1 days, there were a lot of talented people who essentially modded the game into a functional DM tool that was very powerful if you used the right mods. Lots of opportunity to draw some inspiration.

I suppose it's an interesting possibility given the history of playing a dragon in Divinity 2, and Slane is another dragon knight...

Just don't expect to be able to do anything exciting as a dragon, not with the very small maps recommended for GM mode and the limitations of D:OS 2's combat stripping away all the cool parts of playing a Dragon.

What are the cool parts of playing a dragon, what is exciting? How does the game limit that?

Let's see. Fire breath, flight, being physically powerful... With all of those, the only thing you in theory would have a hard time with is flying, and there's technically a way to do that in the system. I personally feel like dragons are a neato idea for a mod to make playable , but there's definitely some reasons they shouldn't be too (Such as being able to fly off Fort Joy, and some areas being too small to hold one the size of Slane.)
