I agree with you on the notion that the presets are well thought and planed out,but I think the Inquisitor and Shadowblade presets are outdated because they are from a patch where necromancy spells damaged magical armour.
Inquisitor is curently the closest thing to a pure fighter and it really favors sword and board fighting style.
Of the current presets metamorph is the easiest to adjust to make a pure fighter like preset....we just have to move that +1 in two handed to something more general purpose.
