Altering the way buffs and debuffs work, and the way healing works means that the Undead will not play well in a party with non-undead. That strikes me like it would be an incredibly poor design decision for a party-based game.




I see it like this ; most buffs are single-person or affect surfaces. IT'd require you be a little more tactical than just "BLESS THE FIRE GET SICK HEALING" in that you'd add "Unless Trace the skeleman is in there, in which case wait for him not to be." but then said skeleman could run into the cursed blood and get a buff, or whatever.
