Nope. Nothing, he says nothing. If you go up the stairs in that dungeon (spoilers obv), on one side of the fort, you'll see a boat, 2 magistars and a little kid. If you talk to the kid, he tells you he came for Verdas, but obv that's not happening anymore in his condition.
