Isn't it the other way round? They made the elves 3D-borky-unique in the game but show them in a different way in the 2D art.

I throw wild and unfair speculations: maybe because the Sebille would look strange and ugly in 2D if portrayed correctly? Which would go against the "sexy-look" theme? Of course not only any die-hard religious fan but also all politically correct intellectuals are against "sexy". Although behind the curtain perhaps many like good-looking sexy pictures (perhaps except those who wear socks in sandals). At least I like it, for men and women.

So the 2D picture may be interpreted as hypocrisy. I'm sure the artist could have made her with a skin looking much more bork-like.
