Where is Kickstarter Update 38-40? On Larian's YouTube-channel they have update 37 and then 41.

Or is the number of the update related to the current game-version?

The video numbers match the corresponding Kickstarter updates: 38-40 were text-only updates (and backer-only) about providing shipping addresses and information for a couple higher tier rewards, so don't have associated videos.
