I actually quite liked Andromeda and thought that pretty much all the alleged problems weren't a thing. Its main problem is that it really needed an A-list writer to refine the story and give the characters some, well, character. I enjoyed it overall, my only complaint being that it was very forgettable. Which still makes it better than ME3 which I remember for all the wrong reasons.

People still think they gonna make the deadline?. (only 5 weeks left) Personally I hope they do, experience say they don't consider they not even had time for a beta update. Guess my prediction would be right after all.

Guess my prediction would be right after all. The alpha / early access was always going to be an only-alpha thing. They've been working on the full game the whole time. They have actual beta testers in several countries and parts of some of those countries testing the full game. Edit : Typos fixed. Also, Vometia, don't call things flamebait when you don't know their intention. Don't even remember what it was you removed, but still ; rude.

Seriously, guys. On reflection I've re-opened the topic but be nice and don't post flamebait.

I'm not sure about what based on what you are talking about. I only have access to the EA, I bought it rather early and was disappointed (partly because of own ineptitude), I tried again since a few weeks and I'm rather pleased.
There are a bunch of really annoying things, some which will presumably not change (oil ignoring magical armor, blocked lines of attacks -often it seems by a 0,001 mm high obstacle-, uncomfortable barter system), some hopefully will (f.e. being not able to change control buttons permanently, I look at you, E, above all). Some things I don't like from personal bias, mainly the elves skin and Ifans ugly beard.
But by and large I find the game really a pleasure and cannot await the release.
Of course the rest of the game may be garbage. What is the benefit to speculate about it in this way of the thread?

What do you find uncomfortable about the barter system? The only thing I find 'uncomfortable' about it is I don't think i can filter out what I've sold to a vendor from their goods. When you sell everything sometimes it is difficult to see what is new and what is old.

What is the benefit to speculate about it in this way of the thread? reasons to speculate. many claim the Beta is nothing like the "final product" which the dev's working on it if this is really the case then you playing a large demo version meaning the real game is not what you have bought. and might be total different game. (unlikely) But other company's done with before and rip people off.

When you sell everything sometimes it is difficult to see what is new and what is old. Especially that you cannot sell from all bags. Or cannot send several items at once at least (or is it possible?). It is bad if you have Lucky Charm and Bartering on different chars. I find it also annoying to hit sums correctly with the slider if you have a considerable amount of gold. Can you type it in? That would help. reasons to speculate. many claim the Beta is nothing like the "final product" which the dev's working on it if this is really the case then you playing a large demo version meaning the real game is not what you have bought. and might be total different game. (unlikely) But other company's done with before and rip people off. That would be really bad, of course. Are there facts on which the speculations are based?

I can honestly understand them not wanting to give away EVERYTHING in the Beta/Alpha...
Yet the huge differences between what we have and what the actual game is makes me wonder what the point of this Beta even was?
Not to mention there are several universally accepted faults that haven't been touched (such as the start of the game being extremely exp tight or the Stingtail quest being buggered).
The only changes I can think of brought on from the Beta were mechanical in nature such as Shields getting a guard.

We're in early access, so the terms alpha/beta are not really applicable. We're testing a "demo" of the game.
They have their own QA team and they also have lots of official beta testers who come into their office and play-test the whole game under a NDA.
