Hi All,

Ok, I'm about two weeks into this game. I can't give enough thanks to Larian Studio's and especially to the knowledgable members of this forum. Thanks

The main question I have at the moment is, Is there an items database anywhere? I would really like to find out what items are available, stats, range of damage per item, etc.
For example, I have a Hybrid sword warrior, (I guess all chars are hybrid ), that uses a Merciless Death Blade. I guess the merciless prefix would be like a cruel in D2. It's the most powerful weapon, as far as swords go, that I have been able to find so far (dmg of 81 - 144). Is this just a lucky find? or are there better?

Now the ranting part

I'm a long time D2 fan/player. Only recently, thanks to friends, I have found my latest love in the RPG genre. is an awesome game, but I can't help comparing it to the Diablo series. I love the fact that one can make a char and stray from the normal paths of skills. That is something that I, and some of my D2 friends, have thought would make that game much better.

I'm far enough into the game that I can do the "Easter Egg" area. This is a great addition to the game, since you can "virtually" meet the Larian team. I do have one gripe about this though. Although you can "upgrade" your silver armor (if you found that quest and need it to gain access to this area) it was majorly disappointing.
I mean, I was lucky enough to get some AWESOME silver armor on the very first try. AC 460 | Charm quality 5 | and very nice res bonus's and other mods/skills.
BUT!!!......when I turned it in for "upgrade" it was totally trashed. I tried for at least an hour to get good stats. I should have been making a list of the different armors I got in that amount of time. I can say that the best AC was 410, no higher. Also the mods on the 410 armors where no where near what I had on my original Silver. Highest charm quality on a 410 was 3!!!!!!
I finally went back to my original save position and continued to use my Silver armor.

If you read all of this, I apologize for the rant, but it took a little "wind from my sails" not getting a decent armor in that amount of time.
All in all, this game totally rules over Diablo2:LOD. Maybe from some of the profit in sales, the Larian team can do some more PR on the next . ( so I can find about it sooner and not 9 months after the American release date )

Thanks again, and until the next time, Take care.

items are random[with both stats and place unless it is a special one(i.e. The sword of the gods)] Now about your sword, thats really good! I could not find anything in the wastlands or anywhere else that good(but I'm not panchint(sp) enough to reload for every little thing!

I totally agree about the items Dbase. I believe that you should pick your skills and stats around the items you can get (armor, charms, and weapons) rather than building a character that will have points invested in obsolete or useless skills, chosen because your gear at level ten blew. I just got the game Monday, and have already restarted a couple of times because of bad skill (and other) choices. Could others please post their best finds armor and weapon wise. I really would like to know what is possible. It would also be great to know where some of the non unique (ie. randomly generated weapons) have been found. and what treasue class (type of monster) can drop what. Is it dependant on your level as well? Does it max out? How many reloads did it take? Sorry to go on and on. I'm really liking it so far, the versitility is great.
