Combat and out of combat game sleep sliders.

Drove me nuts how slow everything was in the original.

I assume it's a feature that speeds up animations and actions such as walking. To my knowledge there aren't any plans to add such a thing though I'd welcome it if I was given the option.

Swen said such a feature isn't on the agenda. Animations generally feel snappier than the first game, and run speed mod is always an option, both for combat (for players and enemies) and out of combat.

With the exception of "unsheating" wands and double wands. In the first game that animation was brilliant.

I prefer the slower pace for these kinds of games. It feels more realistic and grounded and hence more immersive.

GMAddon1: Adds almost every single monster and NPC from the main campaign into GM mode, plus a few large custom maps to use in GM mode.

Indeed, I find it all good how it is. Why should a turn-based tactical game adapt in the first place to fast action fans?

I hope Divinity 3 will be in the style of Divinity 2. Recently replayed it, such a good game.

Too harsh, not enough roleplayability, could potentially be not fun

I agree about the limited roleplay potential, and certainly the harshness given that I think the original Ego Draconis still holds the record for the most times I've ever died, but it still remains one of my favourite games evar. My only real complaint is that there wasn't quite enough of it, or more specifically that there wasn't enough before the dragon half of the game, which seems to be a common complaint.

Nowadays I think I'd also like companions, but as the Original Sins are doing that I doubt it's much of a worry (okay, the voice-in-your-head was a kind of companion, but you know what I mean).

ED/D2/DKS/whatevs seems the controversial choice in many ways but actually I really loved it: to some extent it made the Divinity series accessible to someone who wasn't into the Divine Divinity style of gaming, but I'd still like to see more of it.
