Honestly, it seems pretty ridiculous, both gameplay wise and logic wise. As if most of the races not having very good racial abilities to begin with wasn't bad enough, the undead/shapeshifting mask user being able to gain any of them further devalues the races.
If anything, they should lack those abilities and general knowledge should serve to raise redflags and arouse suspicion of the undead/mask user.
