So, my friend flipped his shit in happiness when he found out that you could be not just an undead, not just a lizard, but both.

However, you do miss out on a lot in the game for not picking an origin. Origin characters can be customized in looks, and they made a point to make Fane an "Eternal," not one of the other races. So, could he be made with the vsrious races' appearance? Or is is stuck with the essentially-human look? I haven't been able to uncover the answer for sure

good question.
I would assume no but then again his race is technically the eternals and i dont know if it matters that hes a human eternal.

Well have to see in the game, it could be that he can only be human.

All origins were not customizable regarding their look, so this will go for Fane too.

the look is customizable for all origins - only name, gender, race and tags are fixed ... don't know how Fanes "base race" is handled

You can't give Red Prince a different skin color as far as I remember, not sure about head.

The Red Prince is specifically stuck with being red. Because. You know.

I want The Heliotrope Prince. I also want the voiced dialogue to reflect whichever colour I choose for him.

Obviously when I say "want" I mean demand.

Fairly sure Fane is human undead only.
If you look at the button where you change between races and origins, Its clear that you can only play Fane as a human undead.

To be honest I feel you gain more when playing as a non-origin story, simply because you see more dialogue from that character, and you can befriend them, too. Doesn't stop you from doing their quests, and you can switch between them.

Isn't Fane supposed to be from a time before lizards, dwarves, elves (and even humans, I think?). So, not much room for being a different race there. I do wish it would have been a different undead race, and perhaps even a lady skelly :P But he seems awesome anyway.
