While I am not one to look "given horse in teeth" and I am thrilled that Divinity Original Sin 2 gets voice overs thankyou I just am curious will all voices of all common folks repeat that often, and fast like they did in Original Sin 1 cause some of those voices repeated waaaaay too fast.
Just during me typing this text I heard guy yelling "it is I Reginald the illusionist more then 20 times. (I had DOS ee in background running )
I am always for voices just sometimes maybe they should be a little more varied because sometimes they repeated soooooo fast and during messing in inventory and skills (action that can take looong time) that can be pretty irritating. ouch
Again I am always for voice overs for game and I thank Larian thankyou on doing that, just pleaseeeee dont make commoners repeat them sooooo fast. Please Larian dont make my ears go bonkers. silly

I like that there seem to be multiple voice choices for the custom characters... and special voices for the origin characters.. so you can have a voice that fits your character... like a more sholarly voice for your mage or more of a rough voice for a warrior or a charming ect voice for rogue...

I just hope the voice acting is good thats all im worried about.

I think that was Alix Wilton Regan in the video of the recording sessions, which is unsurprising and quite welcome news. Dunno who she'll be voicing: Lohse, maybe? I think she variously did the narrator and one of the player voices in two versions of D:OS.

Edit: or perhaps the elfy cheese vendor. That would obviously need a high calibre VA.

I hope that Larian's learned their lesson after seeing what crowded areas like the Cyseal marketplace in DOS1 turn into when everyone repeats their line(s) after five seconds.
If that isn't the case there is fortunately an audio slider that lets you turn down overhead dialogue.

I dont complain on voices of characters, but on voices of crowds. How often they repeated their single 2-3 lines was really really irritating. I mean in game where you think 5-10min what is combo best for your rpg007 mage and which one for your rpg006 assassin and then rest of the party too..... I mean standing in single place anywhere in places like Cyseal market or barracks or harbor would drive you crazy aargh
Voices that they used on other chars are fine just dont let em repeat that often especially not if they do not have much lines to speak.

She'll be voicing Sebille.

Just walk away.

It annoyed me too but they can't simply be silent or the place would feel empty and not lively as the market place should and they can't have infinite voice line either.

So go in a quiet place like you would do in real life. You don't think about strategy in a crowded noisy place.

I actually like that kind of immersion.

I dont complain on amount of voices on market, I actually also like how crowded it sounds, but with it that fast constantly repeating same words that fast (Cyseal Cyseal shiver me timbers and slither me eels!) that really can sometimes be silly (Cyseal Cyseal shiver me timbers and slither me eels!).
My whole idea is ok leave same words and all (Cyseal Cyseal shiver me timbers and slither me eels!) just dont repeat em that fast.
Crowded markets and barracks and all places with loads of sounds do sound really fun but just sometimes when you cant move that instant away or simply doing invs and stats it is not most pleasant.
I just want to point it out as one of those not so big things, but one of those things that can ruin immersion.

Cyseal Cyseal shiver me timbers and slither me eels! groovy

At some point of DOS1 I just disabled those voices from market criers and everything else. I was so often standing there and waiting for my friend or browsing the goods, that they drove me crazy.

No one has as many friends as the man with many cheeses.

Yea but that is point, I did NOT want to disable all market voices, all voices in the game did make her much more alive, but o my how fast did they repeat themselves. Like they are singing techno song in divinity age.
I just hope that all those voices do not be heard that often, I think I heard tales about "captain sending letters lizard counselors wife, wayyyyy tooo manny time"
Just slow em down not that fast but do not "kill" market atmosphere.

It's interesting how it's the same conversation that irritates me: I really tired of listening to the Yuthul Gor dialogue. It was well done, but very distinctive so I only needed to hear it once, not every minute or two...

Yea that is basically what I meant, too many of those dialogues just repeat tooo fast and can get you irritated a lot, especially when you are messing around inventory or you are leveling up your characters and thinking where to put em points or to save em up for next level.
