electricity DOES run out, fire DOES burn out. Ice not melting makes sense because that's an eventuality and in order to freeze in the open like it does in these warm climates it'd have to be extremely cold (Thus take a long time to melt) and even then I'm fairly certain I HAVE seen ice melt on its own.
