On Facebook there is a time given as between 10 am to 1 pm PDT. Which would mean 19:00 to 22:00 CEST.

Don't know how valid that is.

Valve often seems to release stuff at a time that's convenient to them; as they're on the other side of the US, that can often translate into late evening or tomorrow for the rest of the world, which is why I'm guessing they picked a Thursday to release it rather than the more usual Friday. Which is pretty much what I'm aiming for, especially if they don't activate pre-loading as my internet is not very quick...

Actually developers determine the release date and time. Valve gives the option. If they just choose a date it is released at 12AM EST on the chosen date. So if Larian decided to release it on 9/14 with no given time, it will be released at 9/14 12AM EST. Which is good news for me because then I would get it 9/13 9PM PST smile

The only time this is not true is if there is clause in a distribution contract that says Valve can't release the game until retail stores are open.

[edit] If they release it 9/14 Midnight CEST that would be 9/13 6PM EST or 9/13 3PM PST

Could a dev pretty please confirm which of these is what will happen? 👆 And if Steam will be enabled for preloading?

Oh I see, maybe I just had some weird experiences with other releases then.

I must admit I can never remember exactly what EST and PST are: I think west and east coast of the mainland US, though I have no idea whether or not they take summer time into account. I can just about manage GMT!

Same here... I'm in France and we're not known for the speed of our internet....
And since we're in CEST, it's often like 8 p.m. here when games are available on steam so with no preload it can only be played one day later, friday night...

Would love to know if there will be preload and the exact release time.... Pleaaaaase Lariaaaaaaan

I don't know. I yesterday followed a link in one of the million threads about release time and it showed the Facebook page (although I don't have a Facebook account) and there you could read PDT. It's allegedly under "Events".

Edit: found it Facebook

It's in German but you can see the time. wink
