You know you're going to buy the game no matter what we say, admit it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

There is a lot of fighting in DD, but the fighting doesn't feel as pointless and tedious as it does in D2. The fighting may be one thing that you don't like about the game, but I personally believe you'll still enjoy it as a whole because there is a definite sense of exploration and discovery. There are lots of nooks and crannies and you always have something to do.

The environments are not randomly generated, and the replay value comes from wanting to find some detail you missed the first time through, and from the wide range of ways to build your character.

The game has a lot of charm and it's own style, and is very addicting once you get passed the begining. If it helps, I thought D2 was boring but I loved this game.

... so I stripped down to nothing but a Super Big Gulp cup and rubberband, and ran up the street screaming "Swing me, gringo!"
