I decided to try this out after finding out the mage exploit.

This exploit works best with 2 rangers but will work with any characters as long as you have two of them on stand-by for this explot.

1) Start the fight, you can do whatever to start it. Use sneak attack, taunt them with convo, anything work.

2) On the char you want to have infinite turns on, delay their turns so they are the last to move.

3) Do the same with the other char. (you now have 2 chars with delayed turns to start the explot)

4) Wait for the other actions to be carried out. Make sure your 2 other chars can still act when it's their turn to do so (Not Stunned, etc)

5) With one of the char, run far away to the point you can press escape. Blow whatever AP you have less on whatever skill you want (Easiest with range attack) but make sure you have 1 AP remaining.

6) Escape with that remaining AP.

7) The retreated character has been moved out of combat. One is still in combat. Take control of the retreated char and run right back into the combat zone. the game will place your retreated char back into the fight as the "Last person to act" in that same turn.

Repeat step 5 to 8 on the other cheating character. As long as you keep retreating and entering fight without ending your turn or running out of AP, the game will not move on to the next turn and will let you act again when you reenter the fight. You can keep acting and shooting with the 2 cheating characters as much as you want if you don't mind running back into the battle zone over and over.

Most games have some kind of exploit. Playing the game that way would bore any sensible human being to tears quickly. If they want to sabotage their own sense of fun, then who cares. If you don't want to do it, then don't do it.

"Fun" is subjective. You will be amazed by how often people actually have fun trying to find these kind of things and figuring out if it can lead to even more game breaking exploits. This started from a silly "Run and gun" people abuse for solo run, to "perma buffed" from trying to make mages useful and now, "infinite turn", all sharing the same source of exploit, "Combat trigger function".

And while the choice to use or not is there, the exact steps to trigger still need to known and later, fixed. Now they know where to go for in the next fix.

Yes. Apparently Sneak has been changed to 4 AP because of whiny people complaining about exploits they didn't have to use, and now congratulations: Sneak is completely useless in combat, and it might as well be prohibited altogether.

There is only so much which can be tweaked to prevent exploits before it starts punishing regular players who are not exploiting. Sneak has crossed that line, so what else will we toss over it?

i think the main problem is exploits or meta driven builds to kill bloated stats enemies on higher difficulties. You can still steal archer kill enemies above the ground without triggering combat though. Sneak damage was also buffed to 40%

In this case, death by boredom seems to be a suitable punishment.

I could not care less whether this is used in SP, but I imagine that anyone joining a group using these tricks would have good reason to feel narked, particularly if they only notice an exploit after investing some time in the play-through.
