Sorry but that is true, this time around you made the game truly stupid in terms of difficulty, you need to resort to CHEESE the battles in order to be able to win then, like running away multiple times or just staying as far as you can from the ranged OP characters that have OP damage and AoE abilities.

Melee characters for example seem irrelevant in so much AoE and ranged spam fest.

1 level difference and the enemies have HUGE amounts of health and barriers and OP damage while my party has barely anything... it is just dumb, and it is also mind blowing that you can't still make a smoth early game, we still need to cheese the game to make money, we still need to steal everything and cheese the game to make money and be able to buy anything because you don't get money by any realiable non-cheese mechanic.

It is stupid.

It doesn't feel good, it feels annoying you don't feel like you actually own the battle when you win you feel like you cheesed the game completely.

I'm playing on tactician BTW.

Not to be rude here, but there are a lo-ot of topics on tactitian difficulties, why not bring the debate there instead of creating another topic on the subject?

Hell, I'm sympathetic with the difficulty issues but still, some of us wants to actually follow those forums.

Tactition mode isn't as bad as it seems but it really has an intended way you are meant to tackle a lot of the problems.

If you aren't breaking and knocking down multiple enemies at once go back to the drawing board.

The difficulty isnt diffcult, the same people defending the current difficulties are the same people who defends diablo 3 pre patch inferno difficulties, just. massive. amount. of. hp. Jesus when your armor and hp is 1/6 of a single enemy, something has gone wrong here.

Just to edit, level 16 magister boss proceed to knock down my entire party with a 500 armor damage blow....this is on classic btw. Thats 750 on tactician.

OH AND LETS ADD THE BLODDY MASS CHAIN OF PAIN ON TOP, THE CHEAPEST MOST DISGUSTING MECHANICS FOR BOSSES.

Something that a person said in a Steam topic:

To all players saying 'Git good' or other stupid things like that: the tactician difficulty IS problematic.

- Its a simple +50% to all stats and damage of ennemies. Far from the better AI / better skills / new ennemies that was promised

- There seems to be a difficulty spike before you complete Fort Joy. If you are unlucky on your gear drops, and complete quests pacifically, you can get at a point where you are stuck at level 3, with only unbeatable level 4 fights. At this point, the only choices you have are to the extreme cheese way (game breaking exploits like the flee/unlimited turn bug), or restart the game in classic..

- The 50% boost to armour means that cc's are worthless for a long period of time at the start of a fight. Meanwhile, the 50% damage boost means that YOUR armor is worthless as anti-cc since any cc attack will just wreck it.. It's not good design, and its juste frustrating.

- The fact that you cannot reduce difficulty is simply stupid. Since you can play more than a dozen hours wefore hitting a wall, you can justifiably be♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥if you have to start over to be able to enjoy the game. Not being able to reduce the difficulty only create frustrated players and negative opinions.


The part were you can reach a wall in which you are completely screwed is real and it just proves how broken the game is right now.

Tactician sucks at level 1 to 4 until you get out of fort joy.
Then the enjoyment factor goes up the roof as you think of every possible way to beat the fight without resorting to escape abuse.

In act 2, there's even a fight where you start off cornered so unless you have uncanny escape ,you can't run and if you do, your friends die since they can hit you 5-6x in a row with each hit afflicting either Frozen or Stunned.

They are also flying/immune to your oil so you can't bug their AI with it.

The thing is, you're supposed to get rekt in that fight.
But the fun part is, you can also beat the encounter if you do it right.

That's tactician mode for ya. If It was classic, I can probably deal with the damage and just rekt them.
