Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Problems with Mpenzak's The merchant!

I was offered a Job of burning this guys cart, I refused and instead went to the site of the cart and it was already torched. Seen Mpenzaks and talked to him he asked if I knew anything told him I did and would talk to the guards. So I talked to the guard that was there investigating and reported what I know. He said Anthrabert would pay with his money or his life, so guessing that quest was done I went back to talk with Mpenzaks who was now in front of the Ducel Inn..I got the same dialog that I did right after his cart was burned?? Its like the crime was never reported..any suggestions?

The speech option stays, but you should've got XP after talking with the guard and the cutscene came where both ran away (guard and Mpenzak), right? It's a minor dialog bug.

Where is Anthrabert? Still in his room? - he should have disappeared.

all i know is i torched his cart myself and ended up getting a skillbook
from one of the people ariving there to stare at the burning cart. From Elwink or something with that name, had to buy it from him. either way, the merchant is still standing in the inn as if nothing happened... maybe he'll catch on later :P

He is gone I am just hoping that I got the right bottle from his room for the other quest (exquisite wine) is needed if I recall correctly. Right now I am doing iona's dungeon and am going to go back and do the other minor quests later. Could have swore when I did this before his opinion of me went up and his prices went way down! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Yes, then it's ok, the bottle standing on the floor in A.'s former room IS the wine bottle you need.
