I'm looking into altering the character creation script but when I try to navigate to it, or import it from the origins dependency, it looks for it in "*Shared/Assets/Scripts/" which is a non existent folder. Should I be looking elsewhere for these scripts?

One must unpack the files in the data folder:
  • shared.pak
  • origins.pak

Using this method: Pak Extraction Guide

I didn't have the DLC tab, so perhaps that unpacks it as well?

I sort of wish the devs would tell us what that DLC was supposed to add.

There are no character creation scripts in in Shared/Assets/Scripts. Those are behaviour scripts, while the character creation scripting is in Osiris/Story. You don't need to unpack anything to edit it (you can copy it to your mod and edit it there).

Additionally, as mentioned in the other thread you started, I would strongly recommend against trying to hack the character creation scripts unless you know very well what you are doing.

Hey Kyrone,

The DLC contains all critical Engine data ranging from dlls to specific preview materials/models/...
All of it is specific to the Engine and hence not included in the actual game data.

On our side, we've looked at it from all angles and are certain the DLC is available to everyone. It seems you can even force download it with this workaround. We are currently in contact with Steam to identify the problem.
