After reading in game about the lone wolf talent and being excited that it was there, I quickly found out that the bonus only works if you have 2 or less people in your party, effectively ruining the 3 man party comps we loved doing. I myself being a big fan of lone wolf and generally love playing a melee character, while my brother tends to like playing with 2 characters.

Why kill it off when you could have it work like in the last game where you lose the ability to recruit an ally instead? I don't get it. 3 party comps always felt better to play to me. 2 party comps feels like it turns cheesy really fast with even one cc landing on you deciding the whole fight while 4 man parties are just annoying to manage for me.

As far as I was aware 3 man parties were not a balance problem, and I see no reason for taking this out. It's the most optimal way for me to enjoy the game and I would like some reasoning why it was removed.

So I can only benefit from lone wolf if I have 1 other party member and that's it? Anything over kills lone wolf? I feel like I would be gimped if I ran around by myself. Does it really allow you the availability to be a solo powerhouse depending on spec chosen? Sorry to ask a question on your thread, just am curious.

Yes it ABSOLUTELY lets you be a powerhouse. Doubled points invested in attributes and abilities easily doubles the damage you deal. A lone wolf with stacked leadership provides 40% dodge and 60% resists to his ally (and any summons, summons still don't disable it), cutting incoming damage in half. 2 more AP per turn is half of the actions of another person, and you're more likely to get executioner procs.

It is certainly possible to be more powerful with a 2 man lone wolf party than a 4 man regular party. It doesn't even require building all That carefully to do, and in fact due to the doubled bonuses otherwise questionable trees like leadership or other defensive abilities open up for use. It's pretty awesome, and definitely interesting. Don't underestimate it.
