So ive been messing around a bit working on editing maps and such.

anybody know how to solve this issue with the lighting?

when i actually edit i turn the atmosphere to "test" mode and it helps a lot but i don't want any sort of light interference at all when i edit. The light in-game seems way to strong right now, so i would need to tune that down aswell. The shadows are way to dark, cant even see in them

Yeah it's pretty annoying.

I find the best atmosphere to use while working in the editor is HouseInteriorA. It seems to have basically no shadows. Some of the walls are still too dark but it's better than the others IMO.

Have you experimented with light probes?
https://docs.larian.game/Light_probes

They can work wonders on the lighting.

Per the doc you should have one per ATM trigger. And local probes as needed.

For the Editor I use ambient source called: Koen_work ( I believe it was that one I'll double check when I got the time).

Still figuring out the gameplay lighting aswell.

Yeah light probes are great. Don't forget to play around with the different settings on the sidebar if you haven't already.

yes i have, i made a large one for the room itself and then smaller ones rectangular shaped for the windows. still going to take a lot of practice to get it to look just right, but for now it is a lot better than not being able to see.
