I have the helm from act one it's used up now it has sole link and the wand is all used up as well so i am at an impasse right now where i can not advance because there is a shrieker in the way and no way of taking it down. Any help or advice would be great or did i miss something from act one and now putting in more than 20 hours into the game and i am some how screwed.

I have the same issue, the purging wand that I used no longer wroks is there a way to learn purge as skill.

Try to use pyramids or teleport skills to pass it.

You learn the source vamp skill from main quest, you can drain shriekers without wands after you do.

Figured as much and i posted another thread about how i explored and messed up the main quest so now i do not have that skill and i am in act 2 so now have to start all over.

Because larian should say NOT TO EXPLORE this game if you do then you messed up like i did and now after putting in more than 20 hours in one game i can not progress because of it.

Also now trying to get the word out there about this bug or issue so people don't waste time like me.

You cannot mess it up, you get the skill from the main quest. Where is this shrieker? Does it block your access to town?

What main quest is it in act 2 that lets me learn purge?

Not purge but source vampirism ( which is basically the same thing ) and it is the quest asks you to raise your source point cap and talk to your God. It's the main quest.

Notes and Tips
Purging Wands have four charges. Speak with Gratiana to restore them.

Hello, how can I get the source vampirism on reepers cost? Unfortunately, the helmet from Rex was lost and the staff with the charges I did not take.

On the coast in the mien is directly at the waypoint a reeper. He must go.

Unlock more source point from quests given by other source master and you can learn it from the same NPC that teach you the spirit vision.

Once you've learned Source Vampirism, you can just have your rogue sneak up to the shrieker and cast the spell on it.
